Ukraine and Montenegro have a Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force on January 1, 2013.
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the volume of goods trade in 2024 amounted to USD 67.342 million, which is 308.7% more than in 2023. Exports totaled USD 18.276 million (+72.8% compared to 2023), while imports reached USD 49.065 million (+731% compared to 2023). The negative trade balance for the 12 months of 2024 stood at USD 30.789 million.
The main export items included: meat and edible by-products (USD 7.101 million); sugar from sugar cane or sugar beet (USD 4.864 million); edible fruits and nuts (USD 1.262 million); hard coal, anthracite (USD 1.248 million); chocolate (USD 698,000); sugar confectionery without cocoa (USD 705,000); furniture and parts thereof (USD 428,000); metal structures and parts of ferrous metals (USD 416,400).
The key import items in 2024 were: organic chemical compounds (USD 1.4417 million); chocolate (USD 196,000); worked stone and articles thereof (USD 195,000); grape wines and grape must (USD 85,800); medicinal products (USD 70,000); and other goods (USD 48.404 million).
